Quest is an educational incentive program for kids and adults ages 3 -103 that uses badges and awards to encourage people to explore anything and everything. From spies and painting, to chemistry and farming, there are thousands of badges and awards to choose from, and we are writing more everyday. If you don’t see what you are looking for, just ask!
Thousands of Badges!
Quest offers thousands of individual badges in Nine Areas of Discovery. Requirements start at the preschool level and gradually increase in quantity and difficulty through the adult level. At each level the badge is earned, requirements spiral back to ensure that no critical information at the lower levels were missed or forgotten. Quest Clubs was designed specifically for multi-age groups so nearly all badges are available to all age levels.
What is the Quest Program?
Quest is an educational incentive program that uses badges and awards to encourage kids and adults of all ages to take their education to the next level by delving deeper into subjects they are already interested in and exploring new ideas and experiences. Written by home schoolers, this program seeks to show kids and adults that everything is fun and educational. Our badges are similar to those used in scouting programs, requiring a certain level of mastery in a subject, but still offering a choice of options as to which activities to complete.
There are currently thousands of individual badges you may earn with more released every month. If you want a badge that is not ready yet, or maybe isn’t even on our list, all you have to do is email us and we will add it to our wish list, or you may give us a hand and help us write them as well. In addition to our badges, we also offer a variety of higher awards based on themes such as community service, character, patriotism, and leadership.
Quest was designed to be as flexible as possible. It can be used by individual families, with a group of friends, in a club setting, in the classroom, or as an after school program. Unlike formal scouting programs, there are no mandatory meetings, promises, or uniform, and we have no religious affiliation. You simply adapt the program to meet the needs and goals of your family or group using our materials to create a club that fits your needs.
Quest can also be used to supplement current scouting programs by adding additional badges and awards for your members. While our badges and awards may not be worn on official scout uniforms, they can be displayed on either a Quest uniform of your own design, or on tote bags, backpacks, jackets, shadow boxes, etc.
Use Quest Your Way!
I love the fact that it is skill based, the large variety of badges, the lack of middle management, the fact we get to pick the fundraisers and keep the profit, the teaching of character and patriotism, the support we get from the head of Frontier Girls, the feeling of appreciation that you do not get from other groups. Lol, I couldn't think of just one.
I love everything about Quest Clubs- earning whatever badges the kids are interested in, not having to teach different things to different ages, the ability to strive for higher awards, the flexibility for "quirky" kids, the support from headquarters and other leaders... all of it!
I love the huge array of interesting badges and higher level awards that my kids can earn. As a homeschooling family we often do Quest activities and badge work at home in addition to what they do with their club.
I love Quest because it gives my children a place to form friendships and grow in so many ways! I love the structure and guidance that the badges and awards give me as a parent to be able to instill values and character traits to my children. I love that my daughter and son can be in the same troop and meet at the same time and we LOVE our leaders!
